The following are the names of individuals that have your permission to pick up your dog from Prudent Paws. You understand that once dogs are released into the care of authorised persons or individuals that Prudent Paws is no longer responsible for the well-being of your pet.

All dogs must have all vaccinations up to date. Owners must submit physical or digital proof of all vaccinations. We strongly recommend all dogs be on a flea/tick/lice prevention program.

*Please note, if your dog has been ill with a communicable or potentially communicable disease within the past 30 days a health clearance signed by a licensed veterinarian must be received before your dog can attend daycare. Rules and Regulations:
We accept dogs of all ages. Puppies must be atleast 12 weeks and on a vaccination program. Puppies or shelter/ adopted dogs must have been in the home for at least two weeks prior to being boarded or attending daycare.

All dogs require up to date vaccinations for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Proof of vaccination must be submitted along with the signed agreement.

Dogs that are currently ill are not permitted at Prudent Paws. Dog owners of an injured dog, must inform Prudent Paws of the injury and care instructions before the booking is confirmed. If your dog has recovered from a communicable illness within the past 30 days, you must provide veterinary clearance for your dog to return to Prudent Paws. Owners certify by signing this application that their dog is in good health.

All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy possessive. Owners certify by signing this application that their dog has no history of threatening or harming any person or dog.

We reserve the right to refuse any dog for any reason at any time.

Pick-ups must be completed by 8:00 PM. Late fees for late pick-ups apply at a rate of $10.00 for every 30 minutes past 8:00 PM. No exceptions.
Behavior
All dogs being boarded must have completed and passed their temperament assessments and prove to Prudent Paws that they are non-aggressive, dog social, or dog tolerant and not overly anxious. Owners will need to verify that their dog has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or dog. Please remember that when your dog frequents the play area in the facility, he/she will be in contact with many other types of dogs, and the health and the safety of all dogs is our main priority. Similar to dog parks, acts of aggression can happen very quickly and without warning. If your dog initiates an incident that Prudent Paws deems unacceptable, Prudent Paws reserves the right to remove your pet to its separate area for safety reasons and immediately notify you. Owners are responsible and liable should their dog cause injuries or damages to other dogs or people. Prudent Paws reserves the right to refuse service and permanently expel your dog from our facility without explanation.
Clean Store Policy / Pre-Entry Potty Break
We kindly ask that all pet owners bringing their dogs into our facility, walk their dogs outside on the nearby grass, for at least 5-minutes, before entering our facility. Doing so will minimize the chances of dogs having “accidents”, which reduces the spread of bacteria and parasites, and deter unwanted potty behavior.
Intact, Neutered or Spayed
Your dog does not need to be neutered or spayed in order to attend our facility. However, we will not accept females in heat and may refuse intact males who are overly aggressive. Prudent Paws always reserves the right to refuse to service any dog who may pose a danger to others during their daycare or overnight stay.
Payment
Payment for boarding services are due in full at the time of drop-off (day 1) or as otherwise specified by Prudent Paws in advance. Payment for daycare services is due in full before pick-up or as otherwise specified by Prudent Paws in advance.
The accepted methods of payment will be communicated by Prudent Paws and dog owners are expected to adhere to these payment options. Any additional charges, such as late pick-up fees or incidental expenses, will be billed to the owner and prompt settlement is required. Prudent Paws reserves the right to adjust its pricing, payment policies and any changes will be communicated to dog owners with advance notice to ensure transparency and understanding.
Cancellations
Prudent Paws requires at least 48 hours (2 days) notice for all overnight stay appointment cancellations, and 24 hours (1 day) notice for all daycare appointment cancellations. If sufficient notice is not given, you will be subjected to a $20 cancellation fee.
Food and Treats for Dog
All food and treats must be supplied or specified by the dog owner. Please bring a sufficient supply of food and snacks to cover your dog’s entire stay at Prudent Paws, including additional food for an extra day or two in case of an emergency. Should your dog run out of food or specified treats, you agree to have Prudent Paws supply the same or comparable food or treats for your dog. To ensure the well-being of your dog, we will not feed him/her anything unless provided or directed by you. All incidentals will be sent to you via invoice to the email provided in this contract. Any treats or belongings should be identified to Prudent Paws staff at the time of drop-off so that the items can be identified and checked.
Insurance
Prudent Paws maintains pet insurance coverage that extends to all the dogs within the facility. This insurance is designed to provide coverage in case of unexpected incidents or accidents involving the dogs during their stay. Dog owners are encouraged to inquire about the specifics of this insurance coverage to understand how it can provide added protection and peace of mind during your dog’s stay.
Abandonment Protocol
In the event that neither the dog owner nor the emergency contact is reachable on the scheduled pick-up day, Prudent Paws acknowledges the importance of ensuring the well-being of our canine guests. If we do not receive contact within 7 days from the dog owner or emergency contact, we will consider the dog abandoned. In such cases, Prudent Paws will take responsible action to transport the dog to the nearest animal shelter. In addition, you are responsible for and agree to pay all costs and expenses incurred by Prudent Paws in connection with such transfer. Our top priority is the welfare of every dog under our care and we appreciate your understanding of this protocol. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date to avoid any inconveniences or misunderstandings.

I hereby represent that I am the legal owner of the dog described above and acknowledge my responsibility to adhere to the payment rule outlined in the payment section of this contract, which stipulates that payment for boarding services are due in full at the time of drop-ff and payment for daycare services is due in full before pick-up or as otherwise specified by Prudent Paws in advance. I understand that any additional charges, such as late pick-up fees or incidental expenses and cancellation fees will be billed to me and I agree to settle them promptly.

I hereby represent that my dog is of good health and has not been ill with any known contagious diseases within the past 30 days.

I recognize that the health of the dog is the owner’s responsibility. I hereby represent that all required vaccinations (rabies, bordetella and DHPP) are up to date and proof of vaccination will be submitted along with this signed contract. I will also continue to ensure that the required vaccinations will be kept up to date for as long as my dog attends Prudent Paws. In addition, I hereby represent that my dog has flea/tick preventative treatments applied regularly.

I further understand and agree that in admitting my dog, Prudent Paws has relied on my representation that my dog is in good health and has not harmed, shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any other person or any other dog.

I understand and agree that any problem that develops with my dog will be treated as deemed best by the care-givers of Prudent Paws at their sole discretion and that I assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred.

I agree that my dog may be videotaped, photographed and or recorded. Prudent Paws shall be the exclusive owner to the results and all proceeds of such media.

Prudent Paws reserves the right to refuse service to any dog from care at any time to ensure the safety of other dogs as well as staff.

I understand and agree that in the event that neither I, the dog owner or the emergency contact is reachable on the scheduled pick-up day, my dog will be considered abandoned after 7 days. I understand and agree that after 7 days, Prudent Paws will transport my dog to the nearest animal shelter and I will be responsible for and agree to pay all costs and expenses incurred by Prudent Paws in connection with such transfer
